Well, we knew it was going to be a different holiday season, but I do still think we can make the most of it. With the new restrictions that were put in place in British Columbia this week, I thought I’d put together a list of holiday ideas you can do at home with your bubble that you might ~~actually~~ want to do! I hope these help you get into the holiday mood and bring you some joy!
Play Bartender

Puzzle + Christmas Movie
One of my favourite holiday activities is to switch on a holiday movie I know and love and work on a puzzle. Mosaic Books has great puzzles.
Go for a Long Winter Walk
Without sounding too dramatic — I literally would not have survived COVID without my daily walks. Toss in your headphones and a good podcast or feel-good playlist and walk it out!!
Make a Fort
Pretend you’re a kid again and set up your living room for a cozy Hallmark movie night.
Bake or Decorate Cookies
Have some fun and test your holiday cookie making abilities. Scoop and Save based out of Langley has great baking supplies you can order online.
Holiday Shopping From Home

Have A Vacation Themed Night
Okay, this isn’t really a ~holiday~ activity, but I think theme nights are so fun. I think we are going to have a Mexican fiesta this weekend at our place and make tacos and margaritas. How fun would an Italian night be? Sip on wine and make pasta and pizza! Bonus points for decorations or costumes!

Send Out Christmas Cards
Make them yourself or buy some! I make Christmas cards every year, it’s so fun and means so much to the people receiving them!

Set up a Secret Santa exchange with your friends or family – you could even open gifts over Zoom!
Have a Movie Night
Do a double feature of a holiday movie that’s been remade (Miracle on 34th Street, The Grinch..)
Hold a Gingerbread House Making Contest
With your household or with friends in other places virtually. Poll Instagram for the winner!

Go look at Christmas lights! Bring hot chocolate and listen to Christmas music.
